i googled clay owls and found your site--love these owls--not sure if you will get this message or not--how did you put a hole in the back for them to be hung? i was thinking of attaching a wire loop --these are adorable!! thanks susan
Thanks! There is actually a better tutorial here: http://onecrayolashort.blogspot.com/2010/04/clay-owls.html that shows how they made them. We used a sharpened wooded stick for some of the details, and they used the back of it to make a hole in the back. If you put metal in it, it most likely won't make it through the kiln-I tried that my first year of teaching with a paperclip for hanging, and they all crumbled!
