In second grade, students complete their introduction to the Elements of Art by learning about Space, Texture, and Value. Their study of color theory will deepen as they learn how to use primary, secondary, warm, and cool colors successfully and create values of color in their art. Students will be able to identify positive and negative space as well as real and implied texture. They will also continue their study of the Principles of Design by adding Emphasis to their works of art. Finally, they will be able to identify a landscape work of art.
