Willow Art Show

Our 6th Annual Willow River Art & Music Show was held last Friday, April 9th, 2010. It was a tremendous success! Our theme was "Celebrate You & Me," and all the student works were self portraits.
Here are some photos of our evening:

Our Atrium, where most of the student pieces were displayed, the talent show was held, and the Girl Scouts replenished food.

In the Media Center, checking out first grade's "In the Tall Tall Grass" self portraits. There was also a silent auction of community artwork and a band in the Media Center.

Fourth graders' Van Gogh self portrait plaques.

Watching the talent show.

Talent Show; a first grader playing "Heart & Soul" with her mom.

Each classroom created their own work of art with a parent volunteer to add to the silent auction. This was a fourth grade project. They mixed photos of the students-they were great, and a little creepy!

These two windows were a class project by one of the fifth grade classes.
Brillant idea! They are beautiful!

All I did was the student art part. I had wonderful parent volunteers that put it all up and organized the auction. It's the Parent Group's biggest fundraiser of the year. They sold over $6,000 in art!

WOW!!! great work! I look at you site a lot. Keep you the good work. Maybe we could do some kind of an art exchange next year. Where are you in WI? I'm from Rogers, MN.

Yeah, I'm in Hudson, just on the other side of the St. Croix. We could definitely do something next year, that would be fun!
